Teaching Bio:

Hi, my name is Mark and I am a professional musician, music teacher and pianist based in Merseyside. I teach students of all abilities, including beginners, from the ages of four and upwards. I would be delighted to help you to learn to play the piano, offering both lessons from my home location on Edith Road (L4 0TP).

I am a qualified teacher, having achieved a Distinction at Grade 8 and graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2017, achieving a 2:1 in Music. During my degree, I studied with renowned Liverpool pianist Tom Kimmance and I have regularly performed professionally in venues across Merseyside. Alongside my piano teaching, I am also a member of various function bands and even recently appeared as an accompanist for Jason Manford on Radio 5 Live, as well as a pianist on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown!

As a pianist for nearly 20 years, I have a vast experience of performing with a variety of ensembles including choirs, jazz groups and orchestras. I also have over 6 years of teaching experience, from beginners to more advanced players. I cover a wide array of different genres such as jazz, classical or popular music, (and anything that you would like to learn!).

As everyone will learn differently, I am able to adapt the lesson to suit the pupils' individual needs. I aim to be able to make the lesson fun and enjoyable and have a vast array of playable music to choose from. In addition, I am able to teach ABRSM Grades 1-8 but understand that this is not suited to every pupil, with many of my students simply learning for their own enjoyment. For more information about my piano lessons, as well as to book your first lesson, don't hesitate to get in touch by emailing me on mark@pianolessonsliverpool.com

Teaching Bio:

Jacqueline is a certified piano teacher and professional musician with over 15 years experience teaching students at all levels. She excels at helping people discover and express their love for music. At a beginner level, Jacqueline works to inspire both adults and children (5+ years) who want to connect with music, but haven't yet discovered how. She is also skilled at working with intermediate and advanced-level students, including those studying for exams, to help them explore music further and to achieve their aspirations.

Jacqueline's background as a working musician is broad, varied, and rooted in community spirit, which contributes to her unique qualities as a teacher. She attained the highest teaching qualification at the Royal Conservatory of Music (Canada), and regularly plays Jazz, Classical and Popular styles in Canada and now, here in the UK. In addition to her main instrument, piano, she also plays and teaches the flute, recorder and guitar.

Jacqueline teaches from a home studio on Wood Street in Liverpool's city centre, or in students' own homes (city centre/Sefton Park/Aigburth, or other areas by inquiry.) She would be delighted to help you learn any genre of music that inspires you, as well as teaching theory and general musicianship. To book your first piano lesson with Jacqueline simply get in touch by emailing jacquelinen@pianolessonsliverpool.com.
