Teaching Bio:

Hi, my name is Mark and I am a professional musician, music teacher and pianist based in Merseyside. I teach students of all abilities, including beginners, from the ages of four and upwards. I would be delighted to help you to learn to play the piano, offering both lessons from my home location on Edith Road (L4 0TP) and also as a mobile piano teacher, travelling to you for our lessons.

I am a qualified teacher, having achieved a Distinction at Grade 8 and graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2017, achieving a 2:1 in Music. During my degree, I studied with renowned Liverpool pianist Tom Kimmance and I have regularly performed professionally in venues across Merseyside. Alongside my piano teaching, I am also a member of various function bands and even recently appeared as an accompanist for Jason Manford on Radio 5 Live, as well as a pianist on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown!

As a pianist for nearly 20 years, I have a vast experience of performing with a variety of ensembles including choirs, jazz groups and orchestras. I also have over 6 years of teaching experience, from beginners to more advanced players. I cover a wide array of different genres such as jazz, classical or popular music, (and anything that you would like to learn!).

As everyone will learn differently, I am able to adapt the lesson to suit the pupils' individual needs. I aim to be able to make the lesson fun and enjoyable and have a vast array of playable music to choose from. In addition, I am able to teach ABRSM Grades 1-8 but understand that this is not suited to every pupil, with many of my students simply learning for their own enjoyment. For more information about my piano lessons, as well as to book your first lesson, don't hesitate to get in touch by emailing me on marknewberry@pianolessonsliverpool.com

Teaching Bio:

Hello! My name is Ben and I am a professional piano teacher based here in Liverpool. I teach students from the age of six upwards, covering a wide range of different musical genres. I tailor each one of my lessons to my pupil's individual needs, helping them learn the music that they enjoy.

While I offer tuition and support towards the ABRSM and Suzuki grades, I am also very open to teach other avenues of music, eg Jazz, Pop, practical theory. My lessons are completely catered to the student, no matter what age they might be, or genre they want to learn.

As a musician I have been passionate about music my entire life, playing numerous gigs on electric bass and double bass (which I also teach) with various bands, ensembles, and pit orchestras whilst pursuing my piano studies. I have been a professional musician since 2015 and have played countless function gigs on keys all over the country, alongside upright bass in a jazz duo and many other bands.

I would be more than happy to teach you to play the piano, helping you to learn the music that inspires you. To book your first lesson with me, or to find out more about my piano tuition, simply email bendyer@pianolessonsliverpool.com.

Classical and Modern

My lessons focus on helping the student play the music that inspires them, whether that's Coldplay or Chopin, Mozart or Musicals, we will learn the songs you love during our lessons. I also able to teach my students to sight read and provide beginners with a grounding in music theory, ensuring that they gain a well-rounded knowledge of the instrument.

I teach from a dedicated teaching space on Wood Street, (L1 4AQ) in central Liverpool, with good transport access from across the city.

To arrange your first lesson or simply to find out more about my lessons here at Piano Lessons Liverpool, simply get in touch via the contact page or call 03458 693391.

Jacqueline's approachable and effective teaching style gave me the inspiration and confidence I needed to play piano in front of friends, after years out from the hobby, and now I have got the bug all over again!
